Senior YSRCP Leader and Tirupati MP, P Varaprasad Rao said that Chandrababu Naidu seemed to have learnt little in the four decades of experience and exposure he claims to have. That is the reason why the AP chief minister was resorting to derogatory language, he said.
If one turned Chandrababu's expression on its head, it would clearly indicate as to who was responsible for initiating and developing projects and who diluted and abandoned them. He was addressing a press conference at YSRCP office in Vijayawada. Varaprasad said that he was responding to Chandrababu's statements although it was unclear as to who he had in mind, the late Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy or YS Jagan.
Reminding Chandrababu Naidu that the YSRCP chief was not yet holding the reins of power, the YSRCP leader said that the TDP was a party which practiced governance of dilution of development, while the YSRCP in contrast believed in positive, accelerated and inclusive development.
The YSRCP Tirupati MP commented that Chandrababu had scant respect for democratic values and it was because of his incompetence that AP lost out on Special Category Status. He practiced politics which lack morality and bought 23 YSRCP MLAs and admitted four of them into his Cabinet. It is because he had no regards for the democratic values that the YSRCP boycotted the Assembly, Varaprasad pointed out. He added that Chandrababu Naidu was in the habit of naming schemes after him while they were actually funded by the Centre.
Since he had no accomplishments which he could call his own, Chandrababu Naidu resorted to using such unacceptable language, he remarked.
