Lucknow: Panic was triggered among people on Tuesday after a python was spotted near Mirzapur’s Lakhaniya Dari waterfalls in Uttar Pradesh. The reptile strayed on to the road following torrential rains. The incident brought traffic to a halt as many flocked in to watch the deadly snake.
Forest officials who reached the venue removed the python and sent it to the forest. The officials said that due to downpour python landed on the road. Several places in the state experienced rainfall with the temple town of Varanasi recording more than 100 mm of rains. The MeT department further added that Lucknow and its surrounding will be having partly cloudy sky and rainfall is very likely in some areas.
