New Delhi: Noted director K. Viswanath was on Thursday by Union Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu at the latter's residence in Delhi.
On being received India's highest cinema award — Dadasaheb Phalke award Wednesday from President Pranab Mukherjee, several prominent personalities from the field of cinema and politics congratulated the legendary director in the national capital.
Union Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju, former MP and BJP leader Krishnam Raju and along with his wife called on K. Viswanath in Delhi and congratulated him.
Speaking on this occasion, Viswanath said that as a director it is his duty to make movies with social message. He added that he always felt that making socially oriented movies is his responsibility.
