Jharkand: Reports say that Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's health condition is not as stable as his kidney function have dipped from 50 to 37 percent. The jailed leader is currently undergoing treatment at the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences in Ranchi, Jharkhand. Doctors have administered a high dose of antibiotics to him as his blood sugar and blood pressure levels are also fluctuating.

A senior doctor said that due to administering excessive antibiotic dose led to some complications and has also affected the functioning of his kidneys. However, after the dose is over, doctors expect that his kidneys will function well and it may take a month, hospital sources say.

Lalu is diabetic and is dealing with many ailments. The RJD leader's son Tejashwi Yadav came to Ranchi to meet his father and check on his health status on Saturday.
