HYDERABAD: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee while addressing a gathering in Cooch Behar, accused Owaisi's party AIMIM, of trying to create differences between the communities and also called Hyderabad MP's party as a ‘Muslim extremist’ party.

"This statement of Mamata Banerjee exposes that she is fearful and also fighting a losing battle on losing ground," Owaisi told a leading news website.

The AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi took to twitter saying it was not religious extremism to say that "Bengal’s Muslims have one of the worst human development indicators of any minority.”

“If Didi is worried about a bunch of us ‘from Hyderabad’ then she should tell us how BJP won 18/42 LS seMamata Didi and Asaduddin Bhai’s War Of Wordsats from Bengal,” he wrote on Twitter.
