Vamshi Chand Reddy Appointed Maha Congress Incharge

Telangana Congress MLA from Kalwakurthy constituency, Challa Vamshi Chand Reddy has been appointed as the AICC Secretary In-charge for Maharashtra State Affairs of the Congress party by party national President Rahul Gandhi. AICC General Secretary Ashok Gehlot, in a statement, on Thursday announced the decision.
I sincerely thank Hon'ble @INCIndia President Shri @RahulGandhi Ji for placing his trust in me and appointing me as AICC Secretary. Vamshi Chand Reddy rose to the Congress party ranks from being a student leader. He has worked as the Youth Congress President as well as the State President of Congress's student wing, NSUI.
With a view to encourage new faces and young blood within the party, Rahul Gandhi has made significant structural changes in the All India Congress Committee, ever since he had been elected as the new Chief of the party. The Congress President did not refrain from showing the door to several senior leaders and veterans from the party. Veteran Congress leader from Madhya Pradesh, Digvijay Singh has been ousted from the AICC in a major shuffle that took place in May this year.
Digvijay Singh has, in the past, worked as the party's State incharge for the erstwhile State of Andhra Pradesh.
