Narayankhed: In a tragic incident, a constable on poll duty died due to cardiac arrest in Kondapur village of Narayanakhed assembly constituency on Saturday.

Hari Singh, (48), who was on his duty at the polling booth in Kondapur village of Narayankhed mandal, collapsed at the booth after he suffered a massive heart attack at around noon on Saturday. The constable, who was attached to Patancheru Police Station, died on the spot.

Meanwhile, a videographer slipped into unconsciousness while he was covering the polling process at Nehrunagar in Narayankhed town and was rushed to the hospital by ambulance.

Meanwhile, 59 per cent polling was reported by 1 PM in Narayankhed.
