Mention Of Special Category Status In Governor’s Address Surprising: YSRCP

Buggana Rajendranath Reddy - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: The mention of Special Category Status (SCS) for Andhra Pradesh in the Governor's address to the AP Assembly on Monday was surprising, YSRCP MLA Buggana Rajendranath Reddy said.

Addressing a press meet, on Tuesday, he said Governor ESL Narasimhan said that the Central government must speed up the implementation of SCS for Andhra Pradesh. "This is in contrast to speech last year where he said there is no concept of SCS anywhere in the country and hence a special package was given to the state," the YSRCP leader said. How can the state Governor claim that everything is alright with Andhra Pradesh when there are no investments, job opportunities or new industries in the state, he questioned. The Governor's speech clearly indicates the dual tone of chief minister Chandrababu Naidu as he changes his stance every year between SCS and special package, Buggana Rajendranath Reddy said.
