Lizard found in a midday meal in Warangal - Sakshi Post

In yet another shocking case of midday meal carelessness, a lizard was found in the sambhar given to the students of a government secondary school in Saipeta under Dharmasagar mandal in Warangal district on Wednesday.

About 25 students who consumed the contaminated sambhar fell ill, others were soon stopped from having the food. The authorities called the 108 emergency number to take the affected students to the hospital.  Some were given treatment there itself by the medical staff.  All local doctors and MRO rushed to the spot on hearing the news.
Parents of the children complained that the students were often given contaminated food. The district elementary education officer came to the school and promised strong action against the suppliers of the contaminated food.
Parents and children had earlier visited the district education office to speak about the adulterated food given to the students.
