Left party leaders on Thursday sought support from YSR Congress party for the ongoing agitation on power problems.

CPM leader Y Venkateswara Rao, CPI leader Ajeez Pasha, RSP leader Janaki Ramulu today called on YSRCP honorary chairman YS Vijayamma at her residence and pleaded for support for the agitation. 

About eight Left parties staged dharna for five days at Indira Park demanding abolition of fuel surcharge and protesting against power cuts in the state. As the police foiled the agitation, the Left parties decided to organise State-wide protests. About ten Left parties have called for State bandh on April 9 protesting against the power cuts and the burden on the people in the form of fuel surcharges.
