Hyderabad: The two-day International Kite Festival at Aga Khan Academy in Ravirala village under Maheshwaram mandal of Ranga Reddy district near Shamshaad International Airport has been drawing a huge crowd. The festival is being organized in association with Government of Telangana

The annual festival was inaugurated by Telangana Tourism & Tribal Welfare Minister Ajmeera Chandulal formally by flying a kite. The International Kite Festival is being celebrated in Pearl City of Hyderabad, which is becoming a global destination after Gujarat in India.

In this colourful event of 'Pathang Festival' on January 15 on the occasion of Sankranti, 32 participants and contestants from various countries are taking part in 'pathang festival' with huge designer kites in different shapes which made the sky colourful.

On Friday, some Tollywood celebrities also participated in the festival at the Aghakhan academy premises. Actor Suman and Actor Mohanbabu with his family were cynosure on the occasion on the second and last day of the festival.
