Guntur: YSRCP senior leader Bhumana Karunakar Reddy on Tuesday appeared before CBI as part of the ongoing questioning. CBI has been questioning Bhumana about Tuni violence, which took place on January 31, 2016, after the meeting of Kapu Garjana led by Mudragada Padmanabham.

Bhumana on Tuesday appeared before CBI as part of the ongoing questioning.

Before entering the CBI office, Bhumana spoke to the media. He said he has no connection with Tuni violence. “If I am arrested on charges of Tuni violence, I will directly participate in the agitation of Kapus for BC status. Some culprits burnt a train at Tuni after the Kapu Garjana meeting, but Chandrababu Naidu is blaming YSRCP. YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has been supporting Kapus on their demand, that’s why TDP government is exploring all the possible options to fix YSRCP for Tuni violence.”

Bhumana said: “Naidu has so far not fulfilled at least one out of his 100 promises made during the election campaign. Just to avoid input subsidy and crop insurance, Chandrababu Naidu is resorting to divert the attention of farmers to rain guns. It’s really unfortunate that the most corrupt person in the country like Chandrababu Naidu is ruling AP.”

Meanwhile, YSRCP leaders and activists staged a dharna in front of SP office here. YSRCP has demanded arrest of Gurajala DSP Nageshwara Rao for man handling the former MLA Janga Krishnamurthy. MLC Ummareddy Venkateshwarlu, MLA Gopireddy Srinivasa Reddy, official spokesperson Ambati Rambabu, Lella Appi Reddy, BC unions and other leaders participated in the dharna.
