Hyderabad’s Cricket Fan Traced In Mumbai 70 Days After Missing

Sai Srujan - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Craze on cricket made a boy to leave home in the city and travel all the way to Mumbai where police found him after 70 days of his missing. The 15-year-old boy Sai Srujan, a resident of Kushaiguda is studying intermediate first year in a private college in the city.

A diehard fan of cricket and Sachin Tendulkar from his childhood, Srujan had taken cricket coaching from many training institutes in Hyderabad. But the training did not satisfy him. He wanted to go for formal coaching at a reputed institution in Mumbai. When Sai told his parents about his wish, they did not agree and asked him to concentrate on his studies.

On June 11, Srujan left his home and travelled to Mumbai where he survived by doing petty jobs and collecting money to join in a reputed cricket coaching academy. He also changed his name as Sai Tendulkar. Meanwhile, Srujan's parents lodged a complaint with police as he went missing. After 70 days of missing, the police traced him in Mumbai.

Srujan's parents along with a police team went to Mumbai on Saturday and will return to Hyderabad on Sunday.
