HYDERABAD: There is another good news for metro train commuters! From this Tuesday onwards, Hyderabad Metro Rail has introduced a new facility for its travellers, where one can be entertained during the long journey.
Commuters can now watch their favourite movies or play video games on their phones just like how can do the same during plane travel. Users can avail these services by downloading the Z 5 App which was developed specifically for the Metro commuters.
And the best part is that one does not have to use the mobile data, but log on to the WIFI facility launched by the Metrol Rail.
According to reports, Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) managing director NVS Reddy launched the facility on Tuesday. He said that the services will be accessible to the commuters free of cost and will work on local WiFi network. He also added that the facilities have been set up in almost all metro trains and few metro stations.
Reports said that, the Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) has joined hands with SugarBox Networks to provide umlimited on-the-go entertainment experience to commuters.
Whats is Sugarbox Networks?
SugarBox is a hyperlocal data delivery and discovery platform that does not use the internet, but identifies the user’s choices and makes them available through a local server and local Wi-Fi network.
SugarBox zones have been set up in all trains and at 10 major metro stations across the city. Once the commuters sign in, they can access content on the Zee5 or the FreePlay App on both Android and iOS.
