Hyderabad: A huge python created a hubbub in Hanuman Nagar Colony in Rajendranagar circle on Monday when it barged into a house premises and almost swallowed a goat to death.

After finding the reptile, the locals rescued the goat from its clasp by beating it but in vain. The goat was swallowed headlong half of its body by the boa. They said the giant snake was lying like lifeless when they beat it to release its prey. The locals, later, left the python into the nearby woods. It might have entered the residence area from the nearby forest area which is close to Hanumannagar, they said.

Of late, instances of wild animals entering the human residences have become common sight in the city due to the deforestation and climate changes.
