Horse Racing Claims One Life In Old City

Hyderabad: Horse riding on a busy road claimed the life of a 45-year-old person in the Old City area of Hyderabad. The incident occurred on Sunday night.

Hameed Khan and another person, who were going on a bike, were hit by a horse. The horse rider was riding his horse right in the middle of the road, thereby causing inconvenience to commuters

The horse attacked the bike after the jockey lost control of the animal. Hameed Khan died on the spot while his pillion rider, identified as Khajam, suffered injuries.

The victims' family members lodged a complaint with the Mailaradevpalli police station about the incident. The police took horse rider and the horse into custody.

Victims' relatives alleged that the mishap occurred as horse races were organised right in the middle of the road.
