Former RAW Official Lands In Soup After Blasphemous Comments On Live TV

Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) leader Amjedullah Khan files complaint against RSN Singh at Dabeerpura police station - Sakshi Post

Hyderabad: Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) leader Amjedullah Khan filed a complaint against RSN Singh, a former Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) official on Tuesday for his blasphemous comments against Prophet Mohammed during a debate on Times Now. The debate on the news channel was held on alleged 'Love jihad' in Kerala which was moderated by the Editor-in-Chief Rahul Shivshankar.

The MBT leader's complaint with Dabeerpura police read as, " RSN Singh used derogatory language for the most revered personality in Islam after Allah. During the discussion, Singh intentionally goes on to make insane and factually incorrect comments about the revered wife of Prophet Mohammed accusing her of having murdered Hazrath Ali, one of the caliphates of Islam, and his sons."

He added that under IPC it forms a criminal case against Singh for his hateful comments. The police official said that have lodged the complaint and are planning to take legal advice to file the case.

The comments triggered backlash against Singh by many netizens on social media. The controversy also compelled an apology from Times Now and Rahul Shivshankar.
