Saaho starring Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor in lead roles has been the talk of the town for a while now. 'Saaho' was expected to receive positive word of the mouth from movie buffs. It doesn't mean Prabhas is not a crowd puller, he is. But you can't expect the audience to watch the movie forever unless there us hit talk. Fans can possibly push the movie till 10 days. But after that, a movie purely runs on its content and word of mouth. If the film earns good ratings from critics then it will be a cake walk for any movie at the ticket counter.
These days, news does travel fast, especially about movie reviews which spread like wildfire on social media. The bad word of mouth has a huge impact on film's collections. The same happened with Prabhas's 'Saaho'.
It did mind-blowing business in first week of its release in terms of collections and theatre occupancy. The film also went on to earn Rs 375 Cr plus at the box office.
'Saaho' continues to remain rock steady and doing decent business even in its second week, as there are no major releases in Telugu this week. But the film will need a push to reach the break-even mark. As per trade reports, 'Saaho' is heading into losses in Telugu states.
The film is being dubbed as the biggest flop in Tamil Nadu and Kerala markets. 'Saaho' has turned out to be a decent hit in Hindi . But Sushant Rajput's latest release 'Chichchore' has become the first choice in northern parts. The Hindi version of 'Saaho' is in safe zone because of its sensational first weekend numbers.
Helmed by Sujeeth, the film also stars Jackie Shroff, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Mandira Bedi, Chunky Panday, Mahesh Manjrekar, Arun Vijay, Murali Sharma and more.
