Vijay Deverakonda made his debut in Tollywood with 'Pelli Choopulu' which earned him critical acclaim. He became a sensational actor in Telugu with 'Arjun Reddy' which did resounding business. Then on, Vijay Deverakonda has become choosy about films. In a very short span of time, Deverakonda carved a niche for himself and found a place in people hearts, mostly millennials.
Deverakonda's path-breaking movie' Arjun Reddy' was remade in Hindi with the title 'Kabir Singh' and starred Shahid Kapoor in lead role. The film has become the highest grossing films of this year in Bollywood. Trade analysts opine that 'Kabir Singh' has fared better than Telugu in terms of collections. 'Arjun Reddy' was widely watched by many people but Kabir Singh, a remake after two years of the release of its original raked in a whopping moolah at the box office.
Rumours are flying thick and fast that Vijay Deverakonda is feeling jealous over 'Kabir Singh' success. Is that so, we don't think so, because Vijay Deverakonda was the first person who had wished success to team 'Kabir Singh' when the first look poster was out. Why would he feel jealous if his director's (Sandeep Vanga) work is appreciated by the Bollywood audiences? Our beloved actors always have a positive opinion on their colleagues and will be one step ahead in encouraging peers.
However, a latest report reveals that deverakonda refused to watch Kabir Singh despite repeated reminders from his director Sandeep. He is believed to have said that the remake did better than expectations and he was happy for them but he won't watch the remake. So we wonder how we should interpret this.
In the meantime, Vijay Deverakonda last appeared in 'Taxiwala' and will soon be seen in 'Dear Comrade'. Currently, he is busy with the promotional activities of 'Dear Comrade' and the trailer has received luke warm response from all quarters. The film is slated for release on July 26.
