Maharshi Review

So how has the movie fared? Does Vamshi justify the hype surrounding the movie? Was this the right choice of movie for Mahesh's 25th career milestone? Let's find out.

First of all,  the movie is clean and incorporates all the commercial elements. Mahesh's performance stands out from the get go. His entry scene and dialogues evokes a lot of whistles from the audience.

The scenes between him and Naresh are heartwarming. Naresh is a revelation. He is seen in a never before seen avatar. His market and choice of movies would definitely change after Maharshi. Pooja Hegde does justice to her role.

Rest of the crew provide the support and add value to the movie thereby elevating the emotional and action scenes. Actions sequences are worth a mention as the scenes elevate the film to a new level. What captures your attention besides Mahesh performance and good BGM is the Cinematography. The effort of the makers to rope in a Bollywood cinematographer seems worthy. This movie will be one of Mahesh's most memorable ones and will be cherished for long by his fans. When the director signed up Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Jagapathi Babu and Saikumar for their respective roles, he knew what to expect and the actors have delivered perfectly. The reason Maharshi appeals to you is also because Vamshi has picked the right person for every role. For example, nobody could have done the role of Mahesh role better than Naresh as he executes his role all so perfectly. His comic timing and performance particularly in intense emotional scenes adds value to the movie. The production values be it editing, cinematography or framing in Maharshi are rich and deserves a round of applause. The second half does keep you hooked till the climax and you end up with a good feeling after the movie finishes.

Vamshi has weaved the social angle beautiful into the plot. A few scenes in the movie reminds you of the Mahesh of Pokiri days while a few scenes resemble his previous blockbuster Bharat Ane Nenu. Overall,  the movie is worth a watch and a visual to the fans of Mahesh babu.  The Telugu superstar lives up to the expectations of delivering a blockbuster in his 25th movie and doesn't let down his fans.
