Majili Movie Review: Samantha and Chaitanya Akkineni's most awaited movie Majili hit theatres on Friday. The Movie's trailer and dialogues are already a hit with the youngsters as it strikes a chord with them and their emotions.
Samantha, Chaitanya share screen space for the first time after marriage. The last time they were seen together was in Manam which featured three generations of the Akkineni family. Their debut movie Ye Maaya Chesave, a remake of Gautham Menon’s super duper Tamil hit was a massive box office hit.
Majili is directed by Siva Nirvana who's known for his blockbuster hit Ninnu Kori starring Nani. This film is produced by Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi. The film also stars Divyansha as another female lead while Posani and Rao Ramesh are seen in supporting cast. Thaman and Gopi Sundar's music is already a hit and topping the charts.
Majili Plot: The film revolves around the life of a cricketer who falls prey to alcoholism after being disillusioned. This strains his family life. So, how’s the movie? Well, what can I say? The movie has all the ingredients to make it a blockbuster hit. Right from performances of lead actors and music to dialogues and director's handling of script, the film leaves you asking for more. If you thought Manam was Sam-Chai's best, then go watch Majili. Now, we know why Samantha said what she said at the pre-release function. Anybody would have lapped up such a strong role. Chaitu shines in his role as a disillusioned youth while Samantha plays the perfect-forgiving housewife to the T. It's a tearjerker for sure, but worth a watch.
