Bomb Threat To Electricity Board For Uninterrupted Broadcast Of KGF - Sakshi Post

Dog squads along with Senior police personnel had to rushto the Mangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited(MESCOM) office in Bhadravati on Friday, to search after they received a letter of threat.

The letter stated that if there were any power supply cuts out of pressure from the CM HD Kumaraswamy and Local JD(S) strongman Appaji during the screening of KGF movie of Rocking star Yash, by a private channel, the Electricity office would be bombed.

It's worth recalling Karnataka CM Kumaraswamy recently attacked KGF Fame Yash for supporting an independent candidate, actress Sumalatha Ambareesh in Mandya, as the actress has locked horns with Nikhil Kumaraswamy for the Mandya Lok Sabah constituency.

The Bhadravati police had filed an FIR in connection with the letter. After MESCOM had received the letter they sought police protection for their offices.

"The postcard is addressed to the Executive Engineer (EE), MESCOM, Bhadravati. It was delivered to Railway station road office. We immediately alerted the police. Police rushed with the dog squad and inspected all the offices," said MESCOM EE HR Veerendra.

"We also sought police protection for our offices," he informed.

Speaking to a leading English daily, SP M Ashwini said she is aware of the developments. "We registered an FIR and have launched an investigation," she said.
