RRR movie news: Senior Telugu actor who was recently discovered for his flair in negative roles, Jagapathi Babu, was roped in for playing villain in SS Rajamouli's upcoming directorial, the Ram Charan-Jr NTR multistarrer movie #RRR. According to sources, the popular actor was finalised by Rajamouli after a series of discussions over his character and the film's script.
It was around the first shoot event of the movie on November 11 that the news over Jagapathi Babu's role in RRR excited the fans even more. Although Rajamouli was not completely convinced with the actor for the role in the initial stages, it is said that the Baahubali director was disappointed over the unavailability of call sheets of other actors in the South Indian film industry. However, fans of Ram Charan and Jr NTR are delighted over the decision.
It may be recalled that Jagapathi Babu created sensation with his iconic role in this year's block buster hit Ram Charan's Rangasthalam, directed by Sukumar. Recently, he starred in Jr NTR's Aravinda Sametha. which also joined the list of most successful films in Tollywood in 2018.
On the other side, it is rumoured that the third 'R' in the film title would be attributed to Jagapathi Babu's character name. The title RRR was coined by Rajamouli as the names of Rama Rao (NTR) and Ram Charan gell well. Whether Jagapathi Babu's character in the movie be named starting with 'R' remains to be seen.
It is expected that in the lines of RRR's shooting launch date (11-11), Rajamouli would announce Jagapathi Babu's role on December 12 (12-12).
In a latest development, it is believed that actress Eesha Rebba will play the lead role in the movie. However, the news is yet to be confirmed.
