Super star Mahesh Babu is having the time of his life after the success of "Bharat Anu Nenu” at the box office. The upcoming flick of the star, Mahesh Maharshi, is in the sets and the shoot is going on at a rapid pace. The Mahesh Babu movie is being directed by Vamsi Paidipalli and is scheduled for a summer release.
Three huge production houses--Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations, Ashwini Dutt's Vyjayanthi Movies and Prasad V Potluri are bankrolling the project. Now, a cause of concern for Mahesh fans is that the budget for the film is going higher than previously estimated. The reasons behind it are costly schedules shot abroad and increasing number of working days.
Handling finances is a major issue when it comes to producing a film. At times, a single producer can not check finances as they say the producer is now merely a glorified cashier. Maharshi has three big heads producing it. Now the question is who will call the shots?
Apart from that, Vamsi Paidipalli has a bad reputation for spending more than the planned budget if unchecked.
Producer PVP lamented that Oopiri, produced by him and directed by Vamsi, had a good run at the box-office but the budget break-even was never possible. Oopiri can be termed as an epic case wherein the ‘Operation was a success but the patient was declared dead’.
