Tamil actor Vijay's Sarkar has kept the cash registers ringing at the box office. Sarkar is doing unstoppable business at the domestic box office. The film has been declared a box office hit by the audiences. Sarkar chronicles the life of an NRI Sundar Ramaswamy who fights to cast his vote to change the fate of Tamil Nadu elections. Sarkar is setting a new benchmark at the box office. Sarkar was released with Aamir Khan's Thugs of Hindostan, which grabbed a huge number of screens. Ever since Thugs of Hindostan verdict was out, not only did cine goers prefer to watch Sarkar over the film, even theatre owners replaced the Hindi flick with Sarkar.

Thanks to its amazing content, Sarkar became a name to reckon with in Kollywood. Vijay steals the shows with his stellar performance and his hard hitting dialogues in the film was much talked about.

Even though we are celebrating the success of the film back hime, it seems to be a different story on foreign shores altogether.

We hear that Sarkar was unable to fetch profits for distributors in France. If reports doing the rounds on social media are any indication, it could be because of the high ticket price. It is a known fact Vijay is a big star in the film industry. His fans will never step back from purchasing the ticket even if it is being sold at exorbitant prices on its opening day. However, if theatres overseas continue the same price till the end of its theatrical run, then, the film may not become a profitable venture at the box office.

What doesn't seem fair is raising the ticket price everytime a star has a new film release. It wouldn't be a sustainable deal for audiences and distributors. If they negotiate a reasonable and affordable price to people. Audiences will walk into theatres whenever they have free time. The reason for Sarkar not faring well in France region is only because of ticket prices. We are not telling this but film critics are appealing to the distributors to sell the ticket at normal prices. Check out the tweet posted by film critic Ramesh Bala:

Directed by AR Murugadoss, Sarkar also features Keerthy Suresh, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Yogi Babu and Radha Ravi among others in pivotal roles.
