Sarkar hit theatres across the globe as a Diwali treat to the fans of Kollywood actor Vijay. The film features Keerthy Suresh and Varalaxmi as leading ladies. Directed by AR Murugadoss who had earlier given Vijay blockbuster hits like Tuppaki and Kathi is back with another Diwali shanks and this time it's a political thriller titled Sarkar.
The film is bankrolled by Kalanithi Maran under Sun pictures. The response to Sarkar at ticket window has been encouraging and trade analysts are better big-time on this film to beat collections of one of Vijay's all-time hits Mersal which released last year and broke all ready records at the box office.
According to film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Sarkar first day collections have been impressive despite hitting theatres on a week day. Here's a look at his tweet...
Sarkar revolves around the story of an NRI who comes to his motherland to exercise his voting rights during the elections only to discover that someone else has already done it. What follows is Vijay taking on the corrupt system and turning into a people's representative.
