The monsoon session of the AP state assembly which was adjourned by the speaker for an hour as soon as it was convened this morning did not get to transact any business in the first four days of the five-day session.

On the last day, the House was supposed to discuss important issues on adjournment motions moved by various parties. These include seasonal diseases, tribals' problems, shortage of of medicines, drought, Telangana, recruitment of police constables and sub-plan for SCs/STs among others.
Minister for Civil Supplies, D. Sridhar Babu said that the government was prepared to discuss all issues including fee reimbursement and the power crisis in the state and accused the opposition of stonewalling debate and discussion.
