Coimbatore: In what could be called as ''heights of love '',that too for a canine, a woman committed suicide after her father told her that she could not keep her pet dog with her anymore.
Getting into the details, Kavitha (24), a private sector employee, had a pet dog named Ceasar with her for the last two years. Since the dog's continuous barking irritated the neighbours, her father told her to give up the pet dog but she did not heed his word.
On Wednesday night, the dog started barking out of fear, as there was heavy rain, sounds of thunder and lightning.Unable to bear its barking, the neighbours told her father to get rid of it. The next day he scolded his daughter and told her to dispose the dog in another area
Upset at being spoken to harshly and unable to bear the thought of separation from her pet, Kavitha committed suicide by hanging from a fan in her room late Thursday evening, Coimbatore police said.
Police rushed to the spot, recovered the body and a letter allegedly written by her.As per the contents of the letter she apologised for her act and asked her family members to look after her dog and that all should live peacefully.(Source PTI)
