Girl Kidnapped By Maid And Ransom Of 60 Lakhs Demanded - Sakshi Post

Tamilnadu, Tiruvottiyur: A three-year-old girl Anvika was allegedly kidnapped by her housemaid Ambika on Thrusday afternoon and was rescued. The kidnappers were arrested. Anvika is the daughter of Arulraj and Nandini residing at 3rd lane chellammal, shehnai nagar of Amandakarai.  Nandini was under the impression that that her daughter and her maid had gone to the grocery shop. After a while, when Nandini came out in search of her daughter, Anvika and Ambika were not to be seen. Soon she received a call from the maid’s phone and was told that the child had been kidnapped. The sacred Nandini let her husband know of the nnews. This time with same number a male voice demanded an amount of Rs 60 lakh for the release of the child and the maid. The couple rushed to Amandakarai police station.

Nandini filed a case on Amarandakarai police station. Police commissioner K.K Vishawanadh, joint commissioners Dinakaran, Vijayakumar, Deputy Commissioner muthuswami formed three special teams and informed stations across the city and neighbouring districts. Police said the maid had been the prime suspect. Through the phone number the kidnappes were traced and found a car in kovalam. Anvika along with Ambica and Habeebulla were in car.  Then police arrested Ambica and Habeebbulla and an Investigation revealed that Ambika and her associate Mohammed K Syed tried to pull off the kidnapping because both were in love and wanted some amount to get married.
