Hyderabad: A 17-year-old Intermediate student lost his life in a tragic road accident on Tuesday. The student, who was on his way to appear for his Board examination was mowed down by a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) bus.

The mishap occurred near Jubilee Hills check post in Hyderabad.

The victim, identified as Subhan was traveling with his friend on a two-wheeler when the accident took place. Both were from a junior college in Somajiguda and were on the way for their last exam of the academic year.

According to the police, the students were heading towards an examination centre at a college in Madhapur for the exam scheduled at 9 am. However, when they reached the Jubilee Hills check-post, a TSRTC bus traveling towards Allwyn Colony from Secunderabad collided with the two-wheeler.

The front tire on the right side of the bus hit the bike from its left resulting in the rider losing control of his bike. Both of them fell down due to the impact and Subhan, who was behind the rider came under the rear tires of the bus. He died on the spot while his friend sustained injuries in the accident.

The CCTV cameras caught the entire incident and based on the footage, a case was registered at the Jubilee Hills police station. The bus driver was taken into custody and the other student who was riding the bike is undergoing treatment at a private hospital.
