Patnam Bazar (Guntur): Owing to the TDP clashes in Guntur district, a man lost his life.

According to the details provided by the victim's brother Sakhi Hanumantha Rao, a resident of the Pamidipadu village of Bollapalle Mandal in Vinukonda constituency, Sakhi Anjaneyulu (28), along with his family on 5th of this month went to collect water from the Panchayat Water Tanker.

However, the TDP leaders restricted them saying only the members from the party can collect the water. With the intention of providing water to the people of the village, YSR Congress Party constituency in-charge Bolla Brahmanaidu arranged a water tanker and Anjaneyulu brought the water to the village.

In response, the TDP leaders Ratham Edukondalu, Ratham Venkateswarlu, Ratham Srinivas, Ratham Bujjayi, Ratham Pedda Srinu, Ratham China Venkateswarlu, Ratham Narsamma questioned him for the same. The argument escalated to the point where the TDP leaders and the villagers filed a complaint against each other.

On the advice of the village heads, Anjaneyulu along with his brother Hanumantha Rao and his family members came back to the village on March 7 to resolve the dispute. However, the TDP leaders launched an attack on them resulting in Anjaneyulu seriously injured. Hanumantha Rao also sustained severe injuries in the attack.

All the injured persons were rushed to the government hospital in Guntur. After undergoing treatment for two days, Anjaneyulu succumbed to death on Friday night.

The victim's family members have filed a complaint in this regard and sought protection from the TDP leaders in the village. Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case and are investigating.
