Chopped Body Parts Of Young Boy Found In Chittoor; Extra-Marital Affair Suspected

KVB Puram: A brutal murder of a youngster came to light on Saturday morning. The incident took place in Diguvapudi Village of Puttur Mandal in Chittoor district.

Residents of the village, Govindarajulu and Munichandramma's second son Vamsi (19) worked as a JCB operator. On Thursday morning, Vamsi went into the forest for wood but never returned. Despite several search attempts from his family, he wasn’t found. Later, due to a stench emanating from the forest, locals went to investigate and found parts of a body severely chopped off.

A cell phone and a thread tied to the body helped identify Vamsi. Puttur DSP Sowmyalatha, CI Daivaprasad, Narayanavanam SI Dasthagiri arrived at the crime scene and examined the body.

The head, cut off from the body, was found 40 metres away from the crime scene after locals underwent a five-hour long search.

The police suspect that the victim was killed two days ago. With the help of the villagers, the police sent the body to a Hospital in Srikalahasti for post-mortem.

Based on a complaint filed by the victim's mother, a case has been registered in this regard and the police are investigating.

According to the victim's relatives, Vamsi is learned to have been involved in an extra-marital with a woman from the same village due to which he was cruelly murdered. Upon learning this, the police are investigating this angle and are focusing on the cause behind the murder.
