The police are suspecting the role of Jayaram’s niece Madhuri alias Sikha Chowdary in the murder. According to the details, Jayaram was murdered two days ago and two cars were used to shift the body to Hyderabad. It is learned that Jayaram left his house on January 31 and stayed at Dasapalla Hotel in Hyderabad. Also, a person wearing white shirt was found driving Jayaram’s car via CCTV footage recorded at various toll gates. While the police inquired Jayaram’s wife, Padmasri, his sister, Manisha, their car driver and other family members were also questioned.

As per the reports, Sikha earlier worked for a news channel in Hyderabad and later in 2015, she joined as a director in the Express TV Telugu channel, where Jayaram is the Managing Director. Jayaram and Sikha's affair was objected by Padmasri. With the police coming to know of Sikha's boyfriend Rakesh, an investigation is being conducted regarding the duo's involvement in the murder.
