Father Arrested For Sexually Assaulting 13-year-old Daughter

Hyderabad: A man was arrested for sexually assaulting his 13-year-old daughter who was pursuing IX class. The incident which took place in SR Nagar came to light when the victim opened up about the assault with her school teacher who informed her mother. Based on her complaint, the police arrested the 40-year-old man who was identified as Mohd Sayeed. He runs a mobile store at SR Nagar and lives with his wife and daughter.

SR Nagar police station SI, D Nagender Reddy said that the victim had been sexually harassed by her father on three different occasions when her mother was not present. On Saturday, we came to know about the incident when the girl told her school teacher who informed her mother he said.The police filed a case under the sections of the (POCSO) Protection of Children Against Sexual Offences Act and have started investigation.

Recently, in a similar incident Rajendra Bahadur, a 62-year-old Nepali national, allegedly raped his two daughters and threatened to kill them if they revealed the truth. He was working as a watchman and was arrested by Rajiv Gandhi International Airport police on charges of raping his daughters for the past one year.

According to the police, Bahadur lived in Ahmednagar, Shamshabad. He sexually assaulted his two minor daughters aged 17 and 15 years and threatened to kill them if they revealed the matter to anybody. His wife learnt about the rapes and protested against his behavior, but Bahadur thrashed her into silence when she questioned him. He warned his wife that he would kill their four daughters and son if she argued repeatedly.

The children alerted the landlord of the house in which they were staying, about their father’s activities . The house owner lodged a complaint with the police against Bahadur who was arrested and produced before the court. He was remanded to judicial custody.
