Kurnool: A rowdy sheeter at Kurnool was allegedly killed by unknown suspects. He was stabbed and later stoned.
The deceased was identified as Chennaiah (30) who used to work as a painter and now as a Hamali or helper at Railway station. He lives along with her mother.
He celebrated Diwali by firing crackers with his family till midnight. Around 3 AM, he went outside and was found dead on Thursday by the Tungabhadra river. He was severely injured on the neck, back and chest area. Police learned of the matter and rushed to the spot and collected the details. The dog squad came to the spot and stopped at Bala Siva Degree College.
The victim's family alleged that a follower of Kurnool MLA SP Mohan Reddy, Bolleddula Ramakrishna who lives in the same colony as the victim is the principal suspect. Ramakrishna runs finance business along with contract works. Chennaiah borrowed Rs 2 lakh rupees from Ramakrishna in 2014. On August 26th, counter cases were filed against both and both agreed to the date of 2019 August to repay the amount.
The family members claim that Ramakrishna killed Chennaiah. They added that on Wednesday morning, they came to the house and warned Chennaiah. The police are probing the case in different angles since the deceased had criminal history. They found that Chennaiah's mobile has received 20 calls from Siva over two days. It is learned that a murder case and a rape case had been filed against Chennaiah in the past. The body was sent to a government hospital for postmortem. The police filed a case based on the complaint given by the victim's family and a probe is on to nab the criminal.
