Bandlaguda: Depressed Girl Kills Herself Over Medical Seat

One more NEET aspirant commited suicide following depression caused by low exam scores. A 19-year-old girl hanged herself to the ceiling fan at her residence on Wednesday night. It is learned that the victim was harassed by her friends and relatives over her bad scores in the exam and her failure to secure a seat.

The victim has been identified as T Shivani who was aspiring to pursue medicine. She had attempted to secure a medical seat twice. It is learned that Shivani went to attend a wedding on Tuesday and was mocked by her relatives for not getting a seat even after two years of coaching. Sources say, the harassment could have pushed her to commit suicide.

K Rajeshwar Reddy, Sub Inspector of Rajendra Nagar said: “She went to her room which is on the first floor and hanged herself. When her parents went to check on her they found Shivani hanging by the fan.”
