Cops Arrest 5 Persons At Nampally Railway Station, Recover Gold Biscuits

The Government Railway Police (GRP) police on Wednesday night arrested five persons on charges of gold smuggling. The police, who conducted routine checks at Nampally railway station, found the moments of the five persons suspect and questioned them.

During the searches, the police recovered 28 gold biscuits from them. Railway and Road Safety DGP told the mediapersons on Friday that the GRP police have so far seized over 17 kgs of gold during the last three years. He said the GRP was probing into the smuggling channels and was trying to unravel the kingpins of the gold smuggling.
