Conduct Of AP Assembly Session Deplorable: YS Jagan

YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy - Sakshi Post

Amaravati: The 14 days of AP assembly budget session was conducted in a most undemocratic manner, leader of the opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said.

In an informal chat with the media after the session was adjourned sine die, the YSRCP chief said the state government was not willing to debate crucial issues such as question papers leak case, plight of AgriGold victims and the aqua farm tragedy in West Godavari district. "TDP MLAs took up most of the time in speaking about irrelevant issues but I was not given an opportunity to speak about student welfare issue such as the question paper leak case," YS Jagan said. On several occasions during the session either YS Jagan's mike was switched off or TDP MLAs made a din and did not allow him to speak. The TDP men also resorted to personal attacks on YS Jagan by questioning his educational qualifications.

It may be recalled that the YSRCP demanded a probe by a sitting judge into the AgriGold issue and a CBI inquiry into the class 10 question paper leak case. "On both the issues the ruling party evaded a direct reply and adjourned the house for the day," YS Jagan said.
