Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday said the party had allotted MLC seats to ensure social justice.

Addressing a media conference at Akiveedu in West Godavari, Chandrababu said there were many leaders who worked hard for the party though it was in opposition for nine years. Referring to Dadi Veerabhadra Rao's unhappy for denial of MLC ticket, Naidu said he was an efficient leader and ventilated party's voice well in the council. But keeping social justice in view the MLC tickets had been  given to Yenamala Ramakrishnudu, who was former minister, Samanthakamani of Anantapur as part of women representation and Saleem was given opportunity as minority leader. He assured that all the dedicated leaders would be given due recognition in future.

Earlier, Dadi Veerabhadra Rao expressed his anguish over denial of MLC ticket. He said the party should inform him about this in advance. When he was preparing to file nominations, the party decided not to give ticket to him. He said he felt insulted with the party's decision and the party should also give priority to the leaders who have financially unsound. About 60 leaders and supporters of Dadi announced to resign to the TDP in protest against the party's decision.
