Hyderabad: Surprisingly IT returns for this year has dropped from last year in the Telugu states of Telangana & Andhra Pradesh said Sri N. Sankaran, IRS Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax AP & Telangana region while addressing as keynote speaker at Karadaate E-Sahyog Abhiyaan an IT E filing awareness programme jointly by AP & Telangana IT Dept. and FTCCI at Hyderabad today.
The event was organized to create awareness on E-Filing and to take stick of issues, challenges and suggestions from corporate, entrepreneurs and general public.
“Last year in 2018-19 we have collected Rs. 58040 crores as IT from the two Telugu states which translates to 96% of our target. This year our target is to collect Rs. 70574 crores . We are confident of achieving the same. We hope with the last day extension till 31st August our target will be met. We are proud to state that our two CPTC centers at Bengaluru and Vaishali are addressing and solving the public grievances and problems in a faster and quick manner . The department also launched two mobile units explaining the easy features of E filing in twin cities of Hyderabad & Secunderabad “ added Sri N. While welcoming the guests of the day Sri Karunendra s Jasti, President FTCCI emphasized the need for more awareness initiatives like the one happened today.
