The Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FTCCI) in association with Institute of Company Secretaries of India, Hyderabad Chapter, organised a Workshop on Annual Report as per Companies Act, 2013 and Listing Obligation and Disclosure Requirements Regulations at 10.00am at FTCCI Surana Auditorium, Red Hills, Hyderabad.
The Programme was very topical since this is exactly the period of time in an organisation when the Annual Report must be collated, and there is an onus on the teams to make their Annual Reports as meaningful to their stakeholders as possible.
The Inaugural Session of the Programme began with a Welcome Address by CA Arun Luharuka President, FTCCI and was followed by addresses by CS Navajyoth Puttaparthi, Secretary – ICSI, Hyderabad Chapter, CS Radha Krishna Sista, Chairman – ICSI, Hyderabad Chapter.
The Introductory Remarks were made by CA Abhay Kumar Jain, Chairman, Corporate Laws Committee, FTCCI. Also present at the Event were Sri Ramakanth Inani, Vice President-FTCCI, CS Venkata Ramana, Treasurer– ICSRI and CS Ahalada Rao.V, Council Member-ICSRI. There was a Special Address by Sri Josekutty V.E, ICLS, Joint Director, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India.
The Technical Sessions were highly illuminating and the audience in the packed Hall drank in the information, insights and inputs provided by Chairman Sri Josekutty V.E, ICLS, Joint Director, Ministry of Corporate Affairs Government of India on Related Party Transaction-As per Companies Act, 2013 and LODR and disclosure of the same in Annual Report. There was an address by Sri S. Chidambaram, Practising Company Secretary.
Interesting insights on expectations on the Chairman’s Message, Notice of AGM, Management Discussion Analysis Report, and Corporate Governance Report were provided by Dr. Sudheendhra Putty, Company Secretary, Cyient Limited. The eclectic crowd reconvened after lunch to garner knowledge from Sri Thirupal Gorige, Practising Company Secretary, Thirupal Gorige & Associates LLP, Bangalore.
He threw light on what was expected in the Directors Report and Annexure to Directors Report (Particulars of Employee, Annual Report on CSR and Business Responsibility Report).There was also a session on Secretarial Audit, AnnualReturn (MGT-9) and Sexual Harassment Disclosurein Director’s Report, which was ably conducted by Ms. Padma Shenoy, Company Secretary, Compliance Team-Tata Projects Limited.
All in all, this was a highly meaningful day at The Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI).
