'Jersey' is the remake of south hit with the same title starring Tollywood star Nani in the lead role. The film will be directed by Gowtam Tinnanauri who also helmed the original movie. Produced by Allu Arvind, Aman Gill and Dil Raju, the film stars Mrunal Thakur alongside Shahid Kapoor. The film is slated to release in August 2020.
Ahead of the film's shoot, Shahid Kapoor took to Twitter to thank fans for their concerns and wishes for his health. In the tweet, he revealed that recently he had been sleepless and anxious due to pre-shoot nervousness. He also added that he is looking forward to the challenges and responsibilities of his new character.
