APNGO meet gets nod from High Court - Sakshi Post

The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Friday gave a green signal to the APNGO to go ahead with their proposed 'Save Andhra Pradesh' public meeting on September 7 in support of united Andhra.

Ch Upendra, an advocate, filed a writ petition in the Court on Tuesday for direction to police to refuse permission to the APNGO meeting at the Lal Bahadur Stadium.

The court directed the police to not allow any person other than employees. The court also directed the police to take necessary steps to prevent any untoward incidents. APNGOs will be held responsible should the law and order in the city be disturbed, ruled the court.

Entry for workers with valid IDs: Ashok Babu

APNGOs president Ashok Babu made it clear that they will allow only employees who possess valid identity cards. He instructed the employees that the meeting will happen peacefully without banners and slogans. Maintain restraint even if provoked by Telangana leaders, he asserted. He maintained that bandh will not affect the meeting.

He also said that the meeting would be held peacefully and in accordance with the conditions set by the police.

Meanwhile, police visited the LB stadium to oversee arrangements. Employees from Seemandhra have started arriving in the city from yesterday itself.
