BTech student ends life in Khammam

A BTech student allegedly committed suicide at ASR Nagar in Bhadrachalam in Khamam district on Thursday. The deceased identified as Navin, was pursuing his BTech third year at a private college.

As no suicide note was found, the investigations are trying to ascertain the reason behind the student's extreme step, police said. Police suspect that love tragedy to be the cause for his death.

Mahbubnagar: One killed in hit-and-run case

In a hit-and-run case, an unidentified vehicle hit a two-wheeler claiming the life of one person, while injuring two others near Vundapalli of Manavapadu of Mahbubnagar in the wee hours of Thursday.

The injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital and their condition is said to be critical. The police has registered a case and started probe into the case.

Accused flees jail, lands in residents' trap

An accused held in connection with a wife battering case, escaped from Saroornagar police station this morning. The accused, Ramesh was arrested for assaulting his wife. Alert residents of Saroornagar caught Ramesh and handed him over to the police.
