Another Student Of Narayana College Attempts Suicide Complaining Of Teacher Torture

Hyderabad: Yet another student of Narayana College attempted to commit suicide on Tuesday morning allegedly due to the torture by teachers.

Intermediate student Navyasri Goud was staying at Narayana College girls' hostel at Vivekananda Nagar in Kukatpally. She cut her wrist with a blade in an attempt to end her life. As her roommates noticed blood, they immediately rushed her to a hospital where she is undergoing treatment.

Parents said Navyasri was complaining of excessive pressure for better grades in regular tests. Especially, mathematics teacher Keerthi was deliberately giving her low marks and beating her with scale in the classroom, the girl complained. Unable to bear the insult and withstand the pressure for higher grades, Navyasri cut her wrist in her room in the hostel.

Kukatpally police booked a case against the college and an investigation is on.

A student of Sri Chaitanya College at Bowrampet on the city outskirts went missing after leaving note on Sunday. Intermediate student Chintala Sai Ganesh is yet to be traced.
