Another Boat Tragedy In Krishna River

Even before the Pavitra Sangamam boat tragedy could be forgotten, another boat mishap occurred in Krishna river. The incident occurred on Saturday. Fortunately, there were no casualties as all those aboard were good swimmers.

According to the police, a boat carrying quarried sand capsized near Penumaka of Tadepalli mandal on Krishna River. The mishap occurred due to overloading. Those aboard realised the danger and jumped off the boat. they swam across to the shore safely.

At least 22 people died after a boat capsized in Krishna river in Krishna district's Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday (November 12). A tourism boat carrying around 38 people, capsized near the Ibrahimpatnam mandal area at around 5.30 PM . Teams of the National Disaster Relief Force are currently involved in search and rescue.
