AMARAVATI : Telugu Desam Party leader and former Nellore MLA Beedha Masthan Rao has joined YSR Congress party in the presence of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Saturday, December 7.

While speaking to media after joining YSRCP, Rao said that he has wholeheartedly joined the ruling party keeping in view of the welfare schemes being implemented by the government which are helpful to the poorer sections of the society.

Rao said that in just a span of six months, CM YS Jagan has implemented 80 per cent of his poll promises and is also treating the Party manifesto as a 'holy book'.

He added that he has no personal enmity with any leader and will work on the Party lines to strengthen it further.

Rao’s joining will further consolidate the strength of YSRCP in Nellore district where the Party made a clean sweep in 2019 elections.

Rao resigned from TDP on Friday and said that he left TDP-led by N Chandrababu Naidu due to no respect in the party.

He was welcomed by Party General Secretary V Vijaysai Reddy, MP Prabhakar Reddy, State Minister Arvind Kumar Yadav, among others.
