AMARAVATI: The YSR Congress government under Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday has approved the pending issue of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSPs) promotion which has been pending since 2014.
The State has given approval for promoting 22 DSPs to the rank of ASPs ending the five-year wait.
The officers who were promoted from to the rank of ASPs have thanked the Chief Minister at the camp office here on Wednesday and told the Chief Minister that previously only a few people had benefited. But this time all the eligible officials from all the categories were approved based on their qualifications without any biases.
They also assured to Chief Minister that they would work with full dedication to protect the people.
Home Minister Mekathota Sucharitha, DGP Gautam Sawang and Additional DG Ravishankar Iyennar were also present at the camp office in Tadepalli.
