AMARAVATI : Andhra Pradesh Women's Commission chairperson Vasireddy Padma expressed outrage over Veteran actor-director K Bhagyaraj who made insensitive comments against women. He made some misogynistic remarks at a recent audio launch where he was seen blaming survivors of sexual abuse.
Padma wrote a letter to the Tamil Nadu Women's Commission and requested them to take strict action against Bhagyaraj for making such comments on women.
Women's Commission chairperson said that this is inhumane to speak against women who have been victims of rape.
Padma expressed her anger on all celebrities who made inappropriate comments against women victims of rape and supporting the atrocities.
She has requested the Chairperson of the Tamil Nadu State Commission to look into the issue and take serious action against Bhagyaraj by taking the issue to the notice of highest levels of Government and Judiciary.
YSRCP leader questions, haven't they noticed that rape and assault cases of even minors. He then added that even though the state governments, women welfare agencies, the police, and the judiciary are making all their efforts to stop these atrocities against women and are doing their best to stop violence against women. But some celebrities are demeaning women and not supporting crimes against women.
