AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has taken a revolutionary decision of converting all government, Mandal Praja Parishad (MPP) and Zilla Parishad (ZP) schools into English medium schools in the state and has taken some key decision for implementing the same in a review meeting which was held with the Educational department officials on Saturday, November 9.

AP CM directs the officials to set up English Labs in all the government schools across the state. He instructed them to start teaching the students from first to sixth standard in English medium as a part of first phase of the Nadu Nedu Programme.

YS Jagan ordered the officials to follow the policies of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) for teaching.

AP CM has taken this to make English medium mandatory to strengthen government schools in the state.

The YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led YSR Congress Party has also ordered the required teachers to be deployment as per the requirement and teachers will be trained to teach English.
